The UK has a booming show scene and there are shows all over the country. I try and get to as many shows as I can but there is only so much one person can do and it isn't guaranteed that you get into every show you apply for!
In 2019 you can find me at
May 18th & 19th - Wool @ J13, Penkridge
This is my most local show, it is almost walkable from my house so I couldn't fail to support it and am happy to be returning for my 2nd year at J13. This show has a festival vibe and the farm is open for the weekend too so if you are bringing your children there are other things to do besides yarn shopping and ogling! There is always a range of food outlets too so no one will go hungry!
June 14th & 15th - The Wool Monty, Sheffield
Wool Monty is a new show to the yarn scene and I am really hoping it will be a successful one. Organised by the team from Woolfull, Wool Monty promises to be a riot of colour and fun!
July 13th & 14th - Yarningham, Birmingham
I have a soft spot for Yarningham, the first ever Yarningham was my first ever show and this year I will be going back for the 4th Yarningham, and the 2nd in the new venue at Uffculme. While I am hoping it isn't quite as hot as last year, the grounds are beautiful and it is lovely to be able to get outside and take in the sun!
July 27th & 28th - Fibre East, Ampthill, Beds
2019 will be my first time at Fibre East but i have heard many positive things from my YarnMama colleagues so I wasd thrilled to be accepted this year
August 31st & September 1st - Southern Wool Show, Newbury
Bought to you b y the same team as Spring Into Wool in Leeds last year was the first time for Southern Wool Show - based at Newbury Race Course, 2018's SWS was really well supported by customers and vendors alike. A fabulous weekend!
September 28th & 29th - Yarndale, Skipton, N Yorks
Some of you will have seen me at the Fleabub's by Lala Stand at previous Yarndale's, but 2019 is the first time I will be flying solo with my own yarns, pants and bags rather than helping sell Nic's! Yarndale is a one of a kind yarn show I think, big, bold, busy and FUN!
November 17th - Nottingham Yarn Expo, Nottingham
I am thrilled to be returning for the 3rd year of Nottingham Yarn Expo, it was such a a wonderful show last year and the venue is absolutely beautiful. I wonder if the classical music will be back this year - having a yarn show with a harpist playing in the venue gives it a certain sense of refinement!
